Workers must receive additional training, when required by Federal and State OSHA DOT, EPA, and any other standards that apply, on the specific hazards of their job.
Training providers should be used to ensure credibility and augment a company's training program. Therefore, in addition to the training provided by an outside party, a student should receive site-specific training that is supplied by their own company. This training should target the company's unique approach to hazard prevention, including the use of site-specific equipment, health and safety policies, and emergency procedures. As a rule, this company specific training should be well documented.

EMT Refresher Student have 1 day to process a refund as detailed below.
The student has a right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund. The institution shall, for all students, without penalty or obligation, refund 100 percent of the amount paid for the institutional charges, less a reasonable deposit or application fee not to exceed $100.00, if the notice of cancellation is made prior to or on the first day of instruction. Furthermore, the student has the right to withdraw from a course of instruction at any time. A student who has completed 60 percent or less of the course of instruction shall be granted a pro rata refund of tuition and amounts paid for returnable equipment. Books, once they have been opened, are not refundable. If the student withdraws from the program of instruction after instruction has begun, the student is obligated to pay only for educational services rendered, plus the non-refundable registration fee. Any student who withdraws after completing 60% or more of the course will not receive a refund. There will be no refund issued if student fails program or any requisite requirements. Safety Unlimited, Inc. offers a distance education program where the instruction is not offered in real time and shall transmit the first lesson and any materials to students within seven days after the institution accepts the student for admission. The student shall have the right to cancel the agreement and receive a full refund pursuant to section CCR71750 before the first lesson and materials are received. Cancellation is effective on the date written notice of cancellation is sent.
In lieu of a refund, students are allowed to reschedule the class one time as long as they contact Safety Unlimted, Inc. in writing prior to the first day of class. Keep in mind that the above refund policy applies to the original class dates of instruction, not the rescheduled dates. Students will not be eligible to receive a refund of any kind after the original class dates have passed.
A student withdraws from the program after completing 5 hours of instruction. $125.00 less $25.00 registration fee and $00.00 STRF assessment fee = $100.00 divided by 24 hours = $4.17 hourly program charge. 5 hours X $4.17 = $20.85. $100.00 less $20.85 = $79.15 refund. This calculation does not include a refund for the books.
You must pay the state-imposed fee for the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) if all of the following applies to you: (1) you are a student, who is a California resident and prepays all or part of your tuition either by cash, guaranteed student loans, or personal loans; and (2) your total charges are not paid by any third-party payer such as an employer, government program or other payer unless you have a separate agreement to repay the third party. You are not eligible for protection from the STRF and you are not required to pay the STRF fee if either of the following applies: (1) you are not a California resident; and (2) your total charges are paid by a third party, such as an employer, government program, or other payer and you have no separate agreement to repay the third party.

We're excited to announce that this course is available in HTML 5, making it more compatible with the browser on your mobile device (e.g., smartphone or tablet).
This course requires only the most recent version of your mobile device's web browser.
Mobile versions of this sort of training are new, but below are some Pros and Cons that we have noticed during our extensive testing.
During our testing we noticed that tablets work much better than smartphones, simply due to their screen size. The newer the device, the better the result. We are also aware that the course will not work on the first generation iPad, nor older Android Tablets.
Test the functionality of your browser using HTML5 and compare it to the performance of other browsers. If you find other browsers are more compatible than your own, you may want to make the switch.
